Executive Chef
Kevin Glowacki
Originally from Novi, Michigan, executive chef Kevin Glowacki was lured into the culinary world when his passion for the industry and for food was recognized at an early age. Although still in high school, he attended a vocational program specifically designed as a stepping stone into the culinary world. Kevin didn't just like it, he loved it and his professional career was born. Kevin went on to study the art of culinary creation in Farmington, Michigan and is a graduate of the American Culinary Federation Apprentice Program.
After graduation, Kevin began a serious culinary study under the tutelage of the first Certified Executive Chef in Michigan, Milos Cihelka. On his culinary journey, Kevin has participated in a variety of competitions and food salons, including National competitions sponsored by the American Culinary Federation. He has held prestigious positions throughout the Nation, including Texas, California, Michigan and Arizona.
Through a combination of his education and hands on experience, he developed his own unique style and flair. He continued his career at exclusive restaurants and hotels such as The Sea Venture Resort & Spa, Barton Creek Resort and Country Club, Arizona Biltmore Resort & Spa and Ocotillo Golf Resort.
One of Kevin’s dreams early on included owning and operating his own restaurant. Looking for a change of scenery and a new challenge, Kevin realized this dream in 2005 when he left Ocotillo and opened Bistro 1940 in Chandler, Arizona. Bistro 1940 was voted the “Most Romantic Dining in Chandler” in 2007, and received a multitude of awards, and accolades from Valley food critics and patrons before closing in 2007.
Outside of creating culinary masterpieces throughout the Nation, Kevin’s passion is to develop younger chefs, and assist them in discovering their own talents in the same way that he was encouraged. He believes whole-heartedly in staying active within the culinary field, continuously learning and always having fun. As such, he is an active member of the Arizona Culinary Federation, and has developed his own junior-cooking program geared toward Valley children called Little Chefs.
Kevin joined the Seville Golf and Country Club team in May, 2007. He is responsible for overseeing both the daily operations of the Bolero’s Restaurant and orchestrating a myriad of large banquet functions with flawless attention to detail.
In addition to his passion for cooking, Kevin enjoys traveling, hiking and physical fitness.
